The wearing of uniforms in Catholic schools has been a fundamental aspect of Catholic education for over 135 years. The Sacred Heart dress code aims to create an environment that emphasizes academic professionalism. Uniforms symbolize several key elements of Catholic education:
Equality: At the core of the gospel of Jesus Christ is the call for justice, which is central to Catholic education. Therefore, the uniform is a representation of equality—not sameness—highlighting that every person is created in the image of God.
Discipline: Catholic schools are known for cultivating a supportive and effective learning community. In this context, the uniform signifies order and discipline, which are rooted in mutual respect among students and between students and teachers.

Parents are asked to assist in ensuring their children's compliance with these guidelines before sending them to school on Dress Down Days.
Enforcement The school administration has the discretion to determine appropriate dress. If a student's clothing does not align with the guidelines outlined in Sacred Heart’s Dress Code or during Out of Uniform Days, the student will be required to correct or change their attire. Parents will receive written notification regarding any dress code violations, which will also be documented.
