COVID-19 Updates

•As COVID-19 is still very relevant in our state and community we ask all parents to pick up and drop off at the front breezeway doors. The computer will be located in the breezeway also.
•All children and staff will have a health screening when coming into the building. Temperature checks will be done at that time. If a child or staff is over the temperature of 100.1 they will be sent home. If a parent or a child in the home is sick than please keep your child at home also, to help control the spread of germs.
•Due to COVID-19 we will not be doing field trips for the first half of the school year.
•We also will only be doing classroom only parties. On a normal year we love to invite Moms and Dads and Grandmas and Grandpas to our classroom parties but this year we unfortunately will not be able to do that.

Birthday Celebrations

•Birthdays are an exciting event for preschool age children! Because birthdays are special, we celebrate each child’s birthday during the school year. Children with summer birthdays are invited to celebrate their half birthday. If your child’s birthday lands on a day, we do not have school then we will celebrate it close to the date. Your child will be celebrated by singing, wearing a birthday crown and receive a small gift from teachers.
•Feel free to send a special treat such as cookies or mini cupcakes is you choose. It is not expected but it is the one time we are allowed to not follow the nutritious snack rule!

What your child needs at school

•Please do not send toys from home as they may get lost or broken. The exception to this is comfort items such as a blanket for sleeping. These items can be left at school and we will launder them weekly when we wash cot covers and other items in the room.
•A change of clothes in case of toileting accidents or getting clothes wet through play. Please include shirt, pants, underwear and socks in a gallon ziplock bag.
•Winter Gear: It seems too early to be talking about this!!!! It is sometimes easiest to leave a set of winter gear here at school. We do go outside everyday throughout the winter as long as it is not too cold. Snow pants, pull on boots, hat and WATERPROOF MITTENS are a must!

•Communication is key to success! Face to face communication is best every day at pick up and drop off but sometimes schedules do not allow us to see every parent. Please talk to us about any question or concern and let us know about any changes for your child so we can help them throughout the day. Email and texting are also great ways to communicate.
•Every family has been set up with the Remind App for communication. You will receive important updates about schedules, school late starts/closures and happenings at the center. This is also a great way to communicate changes in your schedule as well. You can text Amanda and the classroom teacher at the same time to make sure everyone is aware of these changes.
•Your classroom teacher may also use the Class DoJo app. This is an optional way to stay connected and see fun pictures of what your child does during the week. This sign-up information will be coming soon!!!!
