Early Childhood Center Named for The Manzer Family
A Spencer, Iowa, family’s gift to Sacred Heart Catholic School and Parish helped the parish to create a new early childhood center. Sacred Heart is blessed to receive this generous donation from the Manzer family.
Why Sacred Heart?
The Manzer Family Early Childhood Program is an early learning program, under the umbrella of the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS). Our Director, Gracie Dammann oversees the program. All childcare personnel have the training necessary that meets DHS requirements, they also follow the expectation to be a Christian role model for the children.
Class sizes are limited by state guidelines to 16 three-year-old children and 12 two-year-old children per classroom. The Center offers two classrooms for each age group and can accommodate a total of 56 children. The Manzer Family Early Childhood Center is open year-round Monday-Friday, 6:00 A.M. -6:00 P.M. The Early Childhood Center will close all major holidays and will follow Sacred Heart Schools inclement weather policy.
The Manzer Family Early Childhood Center strives to provide educational opportunities that foster a healthy, respectful, and confident individual who is ready to accept responsibility, to solve problems, and to be a lifelong learner. The Early Childhood Center offers young children a Christian setting in which to grow, learn, and develop in their physical, spiritual, intellectual, and social skills.
The Manzer Family Early Childhood Center provides an atmosphere of consistency and caring in which each student, as a unique individual, can best progress to his/her potential at each child’s own pace. We also believe the Early Childhood Center is a community in which each individual’s learning and behavior must contribute to the common good.
We believe that the Manzer Family Early Childhood Center’s commitment to Christian values renders a profound service to society, which depends on spiritual values and good moral conduct.
